Your data should have clear boundaries too.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the Sathivo website and its account, profile, discovery, booking, chat, notification, safety and support features. “Sathivo”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of the Sathivo service. The service is intended only for adults aged 18 or older in India.

2. Personal data we collect

• Account data: email address, display name, password authentication records handled by our authentication provider, gender selection, 18+ declaration and account timestamps.
• Profile data: profile type, bio, languages, interests, categories, meeting mode, availability, location choices, profile photo and your Sathivo Safety ID.
• Booking and communication data: booking requests, dates, categories, status changes, listed hourly rates, customer offers, accepted/agreed rates, chat messages, shared photos, view-once state, ratings and reviews.
• Safety data: blocks, reports, moderation notes and actions needed to protect users or enforce our rules.
• Support and feedback data: email address, support category, subject and message when you contact us, plus optional feedback type and 1–5 rating when you use the Feedback page.
• Device and technical data: push-notification subscription details, browser/service-worker information, security logs and basic operational records. The website also uses a locally generated random browser identifier for aggregate live-presence and visitor counting. For stored visitor analytics, the identifier is hashed before it is saved; Sathivo does not store your raw browser identifier in the visitor-count tables.

3. Why we use it

We use personal data to create and secure accounts, publish profiles only when you choose to make them public, match discovery filters, process booking requests, enable accepted-booking chats, deliver notifications, prevent abuse, investigate reports, provide customer support, maintain the service and comply with applicable law.

4. What becomes public

Your account is private by default. A companion listing becomes public only after you choose to publish it. Published information may include your chosen display name, bio, profile photo, general location, languages, interests, categories, meeting mode, availability and aggregate rating. Your login email, internal user ID and private booking/chat data are not shown on public listings.

5. Service providers and sharing

We use service providers to operate Sathivo, including Supabase for authentication, database, storage, realtime features and server functions, and an email delivery provider for authentication emails. Browser push notifications may pass through the push service built into your browser/device. We may disclose information when required by law, to investigate serious misuse, or to protect users and the service.

Google AdSense is connected to Sathivo for site verification and review. Sathivo's own ad placements remain in test mode until the site is approved for live advertising. Google consent messaging may be shown where required. If live ads are enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies according to your consent choices and their applicable policies. We do not intentionally provide advertisers with private chats, passwords or OTP codes.

6. Storage, local data and security

Sathivo uses browser local storage to keep your signed-in session and limited device settings. Sensitive server data is protected through access controls, row-level security and private storage rules. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong unique password and do not share verification codes.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep account and marketplace data while your account is active or while it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected. You can use the Delete account page to permanently remove your Sathivo account. Our deletion flow removes the account and associated profile, listing, bookings, messages, photos, notifications, reviews and push-subscription records. Limited provider logs, backups or records required by law may remain for their applicable retention periods.

8. Your choices and requests

You can edit your profile, hide your public listing, block/report users, disable device notifications and delete your account. For access, correction, privacy or data-processing questions, use the Support page and choose Privacy & data.

9. Adults only

Sathivo is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly permit minors to create or use accounts. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we may suspend or delete it and remove associated data.

10. International processing

Some infrastructure or service providers may process data in more than one country. Where applicable, we use provider security controls and contractual protections appropriate to the service.

11. Updates

We may update this policy when the service, law or our data practices change. Material changes will be communicated through the website or account experience where appropriate.
